 Jacques and Jo-Anne are directors of Still Life Retreat. We are born-again, spirit-filled Christians operating in the ministry gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are totally dedicated to advancing the kingdom of heaven.
We opened the retreat in the spring of 1999 in an answer to the call of God. We are now in our mid 60's. Through overcoming many trials and tribulations, we experience Holy matrimony as God ordained ~ that the two shall become one flesh ~ that through this union heaven can be known on earth. It's just wonderful.
We have either lived through your story, or suffered in similar ways. Our ministry to you comes out of our healing. We both know the pain of rejection, divorce, a family suicide, loss of parents, addictions, co-dependency... it just goes on.
As a result of our trials, both individually and together, the Lord gave us great compassion for Christian couples who suffer. As Acts 14:22 states, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” NKJ Version
We base our ministry on Luke 4:18-19
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
We embrace all who seek God; who want intimacy and passion in their lives; and who want Godly marriages. We accept you as you are, not as we would have you to be. In this atmosphere, pretenses can be dropped, hearts can open, and the Lord can move. Our environment is home-like; we serve excellent food; our agenda is flexible; and one-on-one ministry is a gift.

believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the power of God given to
true believers to accomplish his will in us and on the earth. |

We believe that sanctification is necessary to mature into the fullness of Christ Jesus. |

We believe the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. |
